Illuminate Film Festival 2016
Greetings from sunny Southern California, this is Jennifer Dickens of Whole Life Marketing. Here’s the low down on the ILLUMINATE Film Festival and Conscious Cinema Convergence Conference in Sedona, Arizona in June 2016.
Sedona is one of my favorite destinations I frequent about twice a year. Visiting Sedona in the fall, winter and spring provide you with different experiences of the natural eco-beauty of Sedona. Winter is by far a favorite because you get the amazing snow dusted red rock peaks with the green pines providing a breathtaking contrast of scenery. If you happen to be there in December make sure to visit Tlaquepaque Arts & Crafts Village to check out the holiday light decorated shops while sipping a hot toddy as you stroll. Something to experience at least once in your life.
The Peace Experience Film
This year Whole Life Marketing is fortunate enough to have a new client, The Peace Experience film, that we are assisting with Film Distribution and Marketing support. I decided to attend the film festival to attend the Conscious Convergence panels to hob nob with film makers, distributors, PR agencies and marketers in this consciousness expansion space.
Conscious Cinema Convergence
Conscious Film Convergence is an annual film industry gathering dedicated to establishing conscious cinema as a viable business sector within the independent film business, forging ties between key stakeholders and expanding the conscious cinema movement into a global phenomenon.
The Convergence brings together like-minded film, media and brand professionals for dialogue, education, networking and creative visioning with the intention of elevating the world’s collective mind, body, spirit and environmental consciousness through cinema. The event is composed of spotlight conversations; project mentoring, panel discussions, a brainstorming summit and social receptions surrounded by the most compelling conscious cinema of the year at the ILLUMINATE Film Festival.
I found the conscious cinema professionals to be far more heart-centered, approachable and helpful then I would have imagined. I made some amazing industry contacts to start developing ongoing relationships and saw some mind-expanding films… and hopefully we’ve found the best distribution channels for our client, The Peace Experience film. If you’re in the Conscious expansions field and enjoy enlightening films, you should really consider attending the Illuminate Film Festival in June 2017.
